Coach Rick
Rick is a successful entrepreneur and business executive. Growing up the son of an entrepreneur, Rick learned early the ups and downs of business. Rick completed a 5 year apprenticeship in Mechanical Contracting and graduated top of his class in college. Having experienced both sides of the business world, Rick brings a powerful one-two punch to his clients.
Rick became an officer and vice-president of a Mechanical construction firm at age 23. Rick applied his apprenticeship back ground to gain respect of the men he managed and to bring a unique perspective to the clients he successfully completed projects for. Rick’s experience in the labor field helped him excel in estimating, project management and scheduling. Rick worked at the firm for 25 years and understands the value of loyalty, commitment and hard-work.
While working full time, Rick went back to college and graduated top of his class. Rick graduated with a Business Entrepreneurship degree, was a two-time academic all-conference soccer player, two-year captain for his men’s soccer team and winner of the Dick Durrant Award (awarded to the top male student-athlete in the conference). Rick is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and the Collegiate Entrepreneur’s Organization. Rick was honored with giving the commencement speech at his graduation.
Rick is a multiple recipient of “Coach of the Year” (including most recently the 2017 Illinois State Competitive Coach of the year) , has an “A” license through the United States Soccer Federation, a Premier Diploma through the United Soccer Coaches, is a Coach for Illinois’ Olympic Development Program (ODP), a Certified Coaching Education Instructor for U.S. Soccer, a coaching mentor and a Certified Personal Trainer (National Academy of Sports Medicine).
Rick served as President of the area soccer club, was a board member for his area’s youth sports organizations, is CPR, AED and First Aid certified, has and was the race director for a 600 runner 10K/5K race.
Rick enjoys spending quality family time with his wife of 27 years, Lori, and their two beautiful children. Rick completed his first 100 mile ultramarathon in October of 2023 (The Hennepin 100), the JFK 50 miler in November 2022 and has completed two Spartan Race trifectas (Sprint, Super and Beast races). Rick’s drive to constantly LEARN and be the BEST in all that he does, keeps him as the Top business and life coach!
